When to visit Belize
Belizean weather varies with location and time of year. The peak tourist season in Belize is from November to May, during the drier season. Temperatures and humidity, except in the higher elevations in the Maya Mountains, are warm, moist, and tropical. Daytime temperatures range from 90 - 100°F (32 - 38°C), with nightime temps falling as low as 65°F (18° C).

From June to October, things get a little quieter as the rainy season starts. Downpours are often quickly followed by sun, and the wildlife is at its most active.

Queen Triggerfish
(Balistes vetula)
The Queen Triggerfish is just one of the numerous exotic fish you may see while snorkeling or diving on the Belize Barrier Reef at South Water Caye.

These stunning fish can be seen hovering close to the reef bottom, where they like to feed on invertebrates such as long-spined sea urchins.
