About IZE
International Zoological Expeditions, Inc. (IZE) is the pioneer of ecotourism, educational and adventure travel to Belize and now Venezuela.
In the last 34 years, IZE has introduced tens of thousands of students and explorers to the diverse ecology of Belize's subtropical rain forests and coral reefs.
Recently we've expanded our offerings to include trips to Venezuela, furthering our mission to encourage appreciation and conservation of the tropical ecosystems and cultural heritage of Meso America.
The first in educational eco-travel to Belize
In 1970, IZE's founder, Fred Dodd, traveled to what was then British Honduras while pursuing a PhD in Herpetology. What he discovered was a destination of unparalleled beauty that was virtually unknown to tourists.
Recognizing the ecological importance and wealth of Belize, Fred dedicated himself to sharing, through education, the richness of Belize's coral reefs and tropical rain forests. From these beginnings, IZE Belize was born.
Location, location, location
IZE Belize has locations in one of the most beautiful cayes in Belize South Water Caye, perched on the edge of the Belize barrier reef and also in one of the most spectacular expanses of primary rain forest Blue Creek Rain Forest Preserve.
Add to these IZE's most recent tours in Venezuela - which encompass cloud forests, savannahs, alpine regions and mountain peaks - and IZE's site offerings are complete and beyond compare.
Educational travel adventure IZE Belize offer students, educators and adventurers the best locations at the very best prices.
With such a wide variety of tropical habitats to explore and some of the most experienced people in the business, it's time for you to stop imagining and start living the educational adventure of a lifetime!
